Derby Ale Verified Buyer –
I have an Admiral LSD2615HEW built in 2006. The water stopped working and it would instead turn the ice dispenser, but not open the flap. Assuming separate issue, it stopped making crushed ice, so I checked by removing the ice bin and found the motor only turned one way regardless of which setting was selected. Guessing it was the controller, I ordered this and had it in a few days.
Install was easy: unplug refrigerator from outlet, pull the drip tray, remove two screws on the bottom, gently pull the whole dispenser down and out. While removing the old controller, I broke the clip, but it didn’t matter because the new controller has the clip on it, so the broken clip isn’t an issue. Plugged the new controller in, put everything back in place. Truly a 15 minute fix I did while the rest of the family went for a walk.
All controls are working properly again!
