Several lights in the GE fridge were out… watched a YT vid, then tackled the job. Be careful and take your time… be gentle, don’t force things. I’m not the best handyman in town, so if I can do it, anyone with a little more experience for sure will fix the lights-out prob. Saved us a lot of money. Felt good that I could fix this. Little tricky in getting the item in the slot correctly, but you’ll figure it out.

Had one LED light going out and then eventually all lights started blinking. Easily removed the bad light with a small flat blade screwdriver, disconnected the connector, gently removed the PC board from the plastic housing, popped in the new one, reconnected the electrical connector, and snapped it back in and all lights worked like new! Took me maybe a minute. $12 versus the $77 for the entire light assembly. This is the way to go. Just be gentle removing the light from the fridge and removing the PCB from the plastic so not to break the plastic.
My refrigerator is a GE model GFD28GELCDS. Worked like a champ. Highly recommend.

One of the LED lights on my GE Cafe Refrigerator stopped working causing all the other to dim. The GE repair person wanted $150 just to visit plus parts. I searched the part cost $80 from GE. A few forums indicated that it’s easy to replace and the item is available on anywherefridge.com for $20. I noticed that the part is nothing more than a LED, capacitor and resistor on a printed circuit board. $20 is way over priced for this, however it’s better than $80 and most certainly better than $230. So I purchased it, installed it and now it’s working like before. Gonna keep the old part and replace the 3030 SMD white LED for $0.10 (Ebay $6.68/100pcs +shipping) in case another fails, and keep doing this process. Now, I have a replacement on hand and wouldn’t pay any of these exuberant and ridiculous $$$. Thanks and good luck to all.

Refrigerator’s interior lights began to flicker and then all dimmed almost to nothing and one completely went out so we knew which one needed replaced. Installed this peice inside the the plastic light cover (interior LED light of our GE Refrigerator) carefully and it worked! Only replaced a few days ago, so I can’t yet speak to longevity, but it definitely made for an inexpensive 3 minute fix.

After reviewing all the reviews, I bought this back in the middle of April, and put the new light in and it worked up until today, July 6, 2023, and I put in the second one that I ordered and it only lasted less than a few minutes and went out. Cording to anywherefridge.com we only have 30 days to return, I think this company should send me two new replacements, and I would be happy to send back the others at their expense. Would I buy this again depends on how they handle my situation. Thank you.

This light bulb came on time and was very easy to install. It is exactly as described and works great so far. I cannot speak to how long it will last. However, it is MUCH cheaper than the replacement from GE. GE wants $82.50 so this is a much better option. Our GE refrigerator is model: GFD28GMLDES.
