When our freezer light stopped working I checked the owner’s manual where it said the following troubleshooting tip: “Interior light does not work: For LED Lights – Call service”. I looked at this light and was able to see it was just a simple LED board with a connector similar to ones found on a PC. I taped the freezer door switch so no power was going to the light when opening the door, and then I unclipped it from the freezer wall. I then came here to see if there was a similar board, and I found this one was an exact match! As soon as I received this I taped the freezer door switch and installed this in less than a minute. It works perfectly! So give the local GE service tech a break and do this yourself!
