   Every time you open the fridge, the freezer door opens and stays open,
   often without you noticing. The cheap magnets do not work to hold it
   close, so a total waste of energy and food. LG knows about it because
   they answered several complaints saying they will look into it, but have
   never bothered to fix this huge issue.

   I ordered this white LG refrigerator/freezer on the Wednesday during the week before Thanksgiving 2021; I sent an email to the supplier letting them know I REALLY needed it before Thanksgiving. They called me on Thursday and delivered it on Friday, the very next day, and set it up immediately. I was dumbfounded and so pleased. Now THAT is great service. So far, so good with the refrigerator itself- roomy, attractive and cold inside.

   All plastic components of a structural nature are breaking over the 3 years since we bought this refrigerator. It has been gently used by two elder empty nesters. It starts with cracking, then escalates to the point of shattering. This includes the transparent door shelves (all cracked; one shattered); the transparent crisper drawers; the white framing around the inside glass shelves… The whole refrigerator is breaking down on the inside! I replaced the top door shelf under warranty and it’s broken again, while the middle shelf literally shattered the other day – spilling it’s contents all over the floor. The bottom door shelf is severely cracked and about to break and the integrated handles on the crisper drawers are seriously cracked and about to break. I just came across a website that is full of complaints about the same problem, with some entries complaining that replacement shelves were arriving already cracked! I would never buy another LG product! What good is a refrigerator with no shelves or drawers?!! BTW, a door replacement shelf runs $100 – for the same brittle plastic originally provided, that may arrive already broken! I deeply regret this purchase and would not buy LG again!
