   The pros of this fridge is the beautiful design. It is really an absolutely gorgeous design. Everything is perfect except the basic function of a fridge….keeping food cold to safe levels. Ours was a lemon from delivery day. The fridge even after 48 hours was erratic and 45 degrees. The saving grace was the two drawers that did work well BUT the fridge made an airplane take off and landing sound each time the lower drawer was shut. Not sure what that was but we were not keeping this pretty lemon so it didn’t matter what. My advice to LG is to focus on the basic temp stability with one compressor and evaporator to each section to get FAST recovery times after opening the doors for a few minutes. RECOVERY TIME is what counts in French door fridges not just beauty. If LG put as much time as they did to design the looks into its primary cooling function this would be the best on the market. But they failed here on our unit. There is no way to get great recovery times or consistency with one compressor on a super large 30 size fridge like this. Back to the drawing board LG and focus on RECOVERY TIME and TEMP STABILITY. Basics need perfected or it’s a lemon and horribly disappointing because it is so alluring.

   Fridge failed to cool about 18 months ago. Was told to plug and unplug and it actually worked, until yesterday. Now dead as a doornail. Freezer is 40 degrees; fridge is room temp. Based on all the reviews/complaints seems to be all too common. This $3500 fridge is not worth fixing, getting a new GE next week. I am done with LG. Reputable local appliance retailer with in-house service refuses to service. Break all the time and parts are very scare and slow in coming. Pity really, it is a great form factor.
   

3. Review of the 30 cu. ft. LG Refrigerator (LRMDS3006s) Verified Buyer – 12 March 2025

   This terrible refrigerator never cooled properly. I’ve lost $800 of food because of bad cooling. The compressor was replaced twice. The freezer drawers were replaced once. Nothing helped. And the last time LG came out they did a hack job with compression connectors and caused freon leaks near the evaporator & compressor dryer. LG wouldn’t take responsibility for the bad hacked service. DO NOT BUY AN LG FRIDGE!!!! Save yourself lots of money and food!

   The freezer in the bottom drawer does not work. We have it about 2 weeks and this morning in bottom there was still liquid.
